Kevin Marcos Delgado Álvarez and Lilian Ramos Conde, students of the University of Ciego de Ávila «Máximo Gómez Báez», are among the young people who will represent this province at the XIV National University Radio Festival, which begins on 23 May in Holguín.
Also attending the contest are Alejandra Cobo Avello, Lázaro Arley Martín Márquez and Amanda Sordo Companioni, who are competing, among other categories, in voice-over, varied spaces, musicals, scriptwriting and direction.
The event, which brings together 90 delegates from some 30 Cuban academic institutions, is a propitious space for the exchange of experiences related to the different ways of making radio from the universities.
The programme of the XIV National University Radio Festival includes the conference «How to tell the story with 24 sounds only», to be given by the Master of Cuban Radio César Hidalgo Torres, and a discussion with journalist Lázaro Chiang Macate, about his experience as a war correspondent in Ethiopia.
