The development of the cooperative balance process dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Peasant Congress in Arms in the municipality of Majagua is characterized by an efficient work that contributes to increase productive yields.
In the almost ten meetings held to date, all the boards of directors were ratified and among the most generalized proposals is the need for the corresponding levels to analyze aspects related to Decree 70, which modifies Decree 225, aimed at the use and ownership of large livestock.
In this sense, it is argued that not all cattle owners have the resources to comply with the requirements established in this document, in addition to the existing difficulties in the territory for the acquisition of stamps and certifications, among other demands.
Also in this area, the lack of inputs for the proper development of the cold season is evident, as they only have biological products for the crops of beans and tomatoes, as well as the issue of non-payment, a situation that leads to weaken the working ties between cooperatives and state companies.
Reinier Meneses Gómez, President of the National Association of Small Farmers in the territory, also emphasized that during the balance process, the gesture of solidarity of the cooperative members with the victims of Hurricane Ian is present, through their material contributions and the recognition of their companions for the Rural Women’s Day, a date celebrated every March 15.
