With the precept that unity forges peoples, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution in the central province of Ciego de Ávila, intensify multiple activities to celebrate this January 28, the 170th Anniversary of the birth of National Hero José Martí.
Yenni Flas Pérez, coordinator of the organization in the territory, specified that since last year they have been working for the improvement of the program, which also includes the 84th anniversary of the founding of the CTC by Lázaro Peña, icon of the union movement in Cuba, whose ideas achieve a high sense of the Master’s legacy.
At the territorial level, priority is given to plaques, sites and names that honor the memory of the author of the Golden Age, as well as campuses that bear the name of the most universal of Cubans.
The CDRs in Ciego de Ávila are also preparing for the massive participation of members in the Parade of the Torches on January 27, a traditional parade that sets guidelines to better understand the humanist, anti-imperialist and revolutionary legacy of the founder of the Patria newspaper.
