The Ciego de Avila branch belonging to the Empresa de Promociones Artísticas y Literarias (Artex), won the headquarters of the provincial event in Ciego de Avila, for the 85th anniversary of the Central de

Workers of Cuba, to be held on the 27th of this month, in the recreational facility known as the Artex patio.

The merit is endorsed by the category of National Vanguard achieved by this labor group in relation to the comprehensive results in the promotion and commercialization of Cuban art, and the sustained achievements in the operation of its union sections, successes that also enabled it to win the «Latir Avileño» award at the political and cultural gala for the 65th anniversary of the Revolution.

Niurka Ferrer Castillo, secretary general of the Provincial Committee of the CTC, emphasized that the workers of that cultural institution excelled in the volunteer work days, mainly those dedicated to food production and contribution to social tasks, as part of the political movements Embracing the countryside and Embracing the neighborhood.

He also informed that the most outstanding in union work during 2023 were the Municipality of Venezuela and the Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers.

«We begin another stage of intense work since the start of 2024 with the celebration of the Workers’ Day of the electric, science, railway and food sectors, the latter hosting the national event in the territory of Avila», he highlighted.

She mentioned as a priority the assemblies of affiliates and representatives for the presentation in all work centers of the annual plan of the economy and the budget, scheduled for the months of January and February, on which the trade unionist insisted on the need to guarantee the quality of those meetings to contribute to the economic recovery of the country and for being framed in the period of a new workers’ congress about to begin its organic process from the base structures of the CTC.
