A detailed analysis of the results of the year 2024, about to conclude, was carried out by the staff of the Centre for Environmental Engineering and Biodiversity, CIBA, located in the municipality of Morón, Avila, with emphasis on project management and its results based on the need to contribute to economic development.

International, sectoral and territorial projects stand out, as well as those integrated with other scientific institutions and prestigious entities such as the Empresa de Aprovechamiento Hidráulico de Ciego de Ávila and the rehabilitation of coastal dunes in the Jardines del Rey archipelago.

The project aimed at the integrated management of the Great Northern Wetland, endorsed by the international recognition of SitioRamsar, together with Euroclima+, with the carrying out of hazard, vulnerability and risk studies, also occupied space in the work of the specialists.

They also emphasised those of national or local scope that contribute to food sovereignty and nutrition education programmes, disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change, all with positive results and the capacity to respond to the priorities of the National Programme for Economic and Social Development.

With the publication of numerous scientific articles in renowned national and international journals, researchers ratified their prestige in different areas of science and highlighted progress in other vital activities such as quality management, social communication and safety and security.

The balance sheet itself acknowledged the efforts and dedication of the workers who individually and collectively have made it possible for CIBA to maintain its outstanding work in support of economic recovery. (R.M. Information Department)
