Anti-COVID-19 vaccination marches successfully in Ciego de Ávila

According to Yipsy González Borroto, head of the Vaccination Program of the territory, the anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign for children between 2 and 11 years old in its first booster, is progressing satisfactorily in Ciego de Ávila.

She also added that children are immunized with Abdala and Soberna Plus in schools, kindergartens and vaccination centers certified for this task. The first booster dose was received by 99.1 percent of the universe to be vaccinated, including some children allergic to thimerosal who showed up.

González Borroto explained that the children who could not be vaccinated because they were sick at the time of the vaccination, will receive the inoculation fifteen days after the clinical discharge.

Meanwhile, the children convalescing from COVID-19 will receive the booster at 6 months, since they are protected by the immunization of the disease itself.
