BANDEC Facilitates Pension Collection for Those Unable to Collect in Person

The Credit and Commerce Bank (BANDEC) has reintroduced an alternative to facilitate the collection of pensions for people who, due to various impediments, cannot attend bank branches in person.

This involves authorising a third party to receive the pension booklet payment using a document that is simple to produce, known as an authorisation, which can be handwritten or printed.

This document must include the full name of the pensioner, as well as the full name of the person authorised to collect, together with the identity card numbers of both parties.

It must also specify the transaction to be carried out (cash collection of the monthly pension), and include the signature of the authorising party. At the time of collection, the authorised person must present their own identity card and that of the beneficiary.

Pensioners who already have a notarised power of attorney or other legal document can continue to use them.

In this way, the Credit and Commerce Bank facilitates the collection of their payment for those who, due to physical limitations or other reasons, are unable to attend their branches in person.
