Voluntary work this weekend was dedicated to food production, the sanitisation of health facilities and the communal environment in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

Another weekend was opportune for the working and trade union family to fraternise over two days of voluntary work dedicated to food production tasks and hygiene, among other social, economic and service duties, in the central Cuban province of Ciego de Ávila.

The actions began last Saturday and continued this Sunday with the cleaning of premises at the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola Provincial Teaching Hospital, in the provincial capital, where the reopening of remodelled facilities will take place shortly, it was learned.

Regarding these tasks, messages on social networks highlight: «As important as leaving brilliant walls and gleaming floors in operating theatres and other premises, so that health personnel can continue to provide quality and humane care, the mobilisation was opportune to strengthen unity and dedicate more love to work.»

Another comment emphasises that «no task is small when done with heart set on collective wellbeing.»

In addition to manual weeding in areas planted with malanga and other crops, the Avilanians dedicated effort this Saturday and Sunday to the distribution, to the grocery stores or bodegas of the capital municipality, of products corresponding to the rationed family basket.
