Under the slogan «United and productive we defend the Revolution», a municipal event was held in Majagua on the 65th anniversary of the signing of the Agrarian Reform Law, with headquarters in the locality of Guayacanes.

The collectives of the Credit and Service Cooperatives Simón Reyes Hernández, Reinaldo Mannig, Orlando González and the Agricultural Production Cooperative Panchito Gómez Toro, were recognised for their performance.

Meanwhile, the individual winners were the farmers Yoversy Aguilar, Guidonel Sánchez, Antonio Moya, Reinerio Gómez and Nelson Plasencia.

During the meeting, enlivened by the sextet of Orlando y su Son, the results of the Emulation for the 17th of May were also announced, the repentista Osmani Carmenante dedicated his inspirations to the award winners, while Reinier Meneses Gómez, president of ANAP in the southwest of Avila, in the conclusions reaffirmed that the first duty of the Cuban peasantry is to produce for the people.

The activity was presided over by Yanelis Peña García, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in this territory, the deputy to the Cuban Parliament and president of the Governing Body, Humberto Fleitas Portal, and representatives of the National Association of Small Farmers at provincial and municipal level.
