A Provincial Workshop on Nutrition and Health was held in Ciego de Ávila to update the new concepts of human nutrition in order to maintain healthy habits.

This event was sponsored by the Provincial Council of Scientific Societies of Ciego de Ávila, which groups the chapters of the different medical specialities and is dedicated to promoting the constant professional advancement of the territory’s Health personnel.

At the workshop, the Avilanian Chapter of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism was renewed, in which Doctor Iliana Montejil Rogers, a Paediatrics specialist at the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola Provincial General Teaching Hospital, of the Avilanian capital, was re-elected as president.

As vice president serves the Graduate in Nutrition Ana Beatriz García Martín and the Chapter’s Board is comprised of Doctor José Luis Marrero Alonso and the Graduates Liset Martínez Céspedes, Yanelis Quintero Alonso and Evelyn Llano Batista.
