The Turiguanó Genetic Livestock Enterprise, located north of the Avilanian municipality of Morón, is incentivising cattle recovery as a component aimed at contributing to and developing the local economy, for which it is intensifying its management through alternatives and practical solutions to comprehensively broaden its social purpose.
Its workforce, immersed in the reproduction and development of Santa Gertrudis breed cattle, the obtaining of specimens with high genetic value for artificial insemination, and the commercialisation of cuts from these animals in the tourism sector, exercises good practices and drives daily tasks.
To carry out this work, the enterprise has close to 400 workers among managers, cadres, specialists, technicians, and labourers directly linked to livestock and the production processes, with the responsibility of safeguarding the more than 4,000 animals that make up the herd.
Hence the importance of the Turiguanó Genetic Livestock Enterprise in import substitution, a result that works in favour of economic and social development, and which should contribute to the country’s economic recovery while increasing its contribution to achieving food sovereignty.
