Work in Chambas on the proposals for deputies to the Parliament

The nominations commission of the municipality of Chambas continues its work to determine the proposals for deputies who will represent the territory before the National Assembly of People’s Power.

Andalys Burgos Hernández, who presides this structure, and also serves as general secretary of the Cuban Workers´ Central (CTC) in the municipality, announced that after the plenary sessions held in the political and mass organizations, 42 pre-candidates from different instances were determined, whether at territorial, provincial or national level.

Currently, the 6 members of the commission are working with the purpose of defining the two nominees for deputies, and for that purpose they will carry out prior consultations with the delegates that make up the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power. Precisely, it will be the representatives of the people, who in a session scheduled for early February, will ratify with their votes the candidacies that will be determined.

On March 26, 2023, Cuban citizens are summoned to the polls to renew the nation’s parliament (Yaimer Mujica Perez).
