Immediate response to a call to promote agricultural tasks in homage to July 26 in Ciego de Ávila

With everyone, the victory, the slogan that distinguishes the national activities for July 26 this year, materialized in a voluntary work carried out this Sunday, in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production Santa Lucía, belonging to the Ciro Redondo Sugar Agroindustrial mill, in the center of the province of Ciego de Ávila.

As reported by Sulema Véliz Pina, general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Energy and Mining Union and communication activist of the union movement, the seeds were planted on 17 hectares with the participation of 800 workers from different sectors of the economy and from organizations of the territory, chaired by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the Avilanian territory, and Governor Alfre Menéndez Pérez.

Niurka Ferrer Castillo, general secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CTC, described the mobilization as fruitful and of quality in the fulfillment of the task, who stressed that it constituted an immediate and massive response to the call to promote the basic activities of the production of sugar cane and food.

She also mentioned among the commitments in salute to the feat of Moncada, gaining more prominence in completing the management structures of the organization, strengthening the policy of leadres and union operation, issues that are currently analyzed in the Municipal Conferences and Provincials of various Unions.
