The Provincial Health Directorate of Ciego de Avila has begun the year by continuing the work style of 2023, with frequent visits to its health care and administrative institutions in each municipality and community.

The directors from Avila go to these places to orientate tasks and also to listen to the opinions of those who work there and of the population that benefits from their services.

It is true that the scarcity of some resources affects the excellence of the attention designed for medical services, but nothing can prevent a diligent treatment, in constant search for solutions.

These meetings serve to take stock of everything that has been done, to draw up new strategies and, together -management and workers-, to solve the most common problems that affect the satisfaction of those who need medical care.

Each health center in the province of Avila receives constant attention and follow-up from the highest authorities of the sector, so that they can learn about the virtues and defects in their daily work and the state of opinion on the matter.

It is worth mentioning the efforts of doctors, nurses, technologists and administrative personnel to maintain the important work of health care in difficult conditions.

A new Health Law was passed in Cuba last month as a guarantee for universal access to vital, sensitive and free services and its application involves all its institutions, in every territory of the country, hence its attention is a priority.
