The Máximo Gómez Báez Ciego de Ávila University graduated 167 students of the day course of Agricultural, Economic, Social and Humanistic Sciences, Informatics, Law and Physical Culture specialties.
On this occasion, Hansel Lorenzo Torres, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, was the most integral student, who read the Manifesto of the Graduate, and in his words he assured to repay with his personal effort the training received.
At the ceremony, a total of 32 young people, among them Mabel Fabelo Fernández, Danna Fumero Moreno, Raidel and Jesús Rodríguez Grey, were awarded Gold degrees, a distinction that confirms their results in all spheres of university life.
The best in teaching, in tasks of social impact, in research, in defense, in sports and in culture were also recognized, while the highest representatives of the Attorney General’s Office, the People’s Court and other entities of the territory awarded the outstanding in their areas.
Yurisbel Gallardo Ballat, rector of the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila, emphasized the social impact of the new group of professionals, who are called to innovate, work with dedication and generate positive changes in their environment.
At the 44th graduation of the province’s house of higher studies, the artistic talents of the Telón Abierto Ensemble, the Entre Nos Duo, soloists Marla Rodríguez and José Leandro Sarmientos, the casino couple formed by Betsy Núñez Sotolongo and Bárbaro Lien Utria, who will represent Cuba at the International Festival of amateur artists.
