With the participation of academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and specialists from various countries, the International Scientific Convention Unica 2024 begins TODAY, in the Jardines del Rey tourist destination in Avila.

Under the motto «Inclusive, relevant and quality education, committed to sustainable development», the programme of the event includes 10 symposia on various topics, ranging from food sovereignty to climate change.

On Tuesday, 15 October, at the Hotel Meliá Costa del Rey, the venue for the event, a Business and Enterprise Forum will be held, featuring Cuban and foreign commercial exhibitors.

The XVI International Scientific Convention Unica 2024, which will be held until 18 October, will promote the work towards achieving and preserving the sustainable development so necessary in today’s world.

The University of Ciego de Avila «Máximo Gómez Báez» (Unica) holds the category of Excellence, awarded by the National Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba.
