Last Friday, the Ciro Redondo plant hosted the provincial event in Ciego de Ávila for October 13, Sugar Worker’s Day.
In that industry, several workers were recently encouraged for their relevant work history during 50 years in the sector, who are part of the delegation of the province to the national event to honor the fiftieth anniversaries, to be held in Havana.
Anabel Ramírez López, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party in Ciro Redondo, encouraged these dedicated workers and others who excel in the repairs of the sugar factory, which are 70% complete.
The group is committed to preparing the equipment on time and with quality for the start of the harvest next December. In this endeavor they work in the mills, the tilter and the hip house, in which areas the greatest efforts are concentrated, according to Vidal Martín Sarduy, director of the Ciro Redondo plant.
The celebration of the provincial event there on October 13 was conducive to delivering the National Vanguard flag to the group of the Agustín Balmaceda Basic Cooperative Production Unit, of the municipality of Baraguá, and to prize several men and women of the sugar agroindustry with the Jesús Menéndez and Jesús Suárez Gayol distinctions, highlighted Gisel Amuedo Llanes, general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Sugar Workers Union.
