Faithful to the legacy of their historical leaders who forged a productive tradition, workers, trade unionists and leaders mobilized to multiple tasks this Sunday in the 10 municipalities of the province of Ciego de Avila, in honor of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) and the 171st anniversary of the birth of José Martí.

The main activity of the National Day of Voluntary Work in the territory of Avila was dedicated to the planting of sugar cane in the Saladriga Cooperative Basic Production Unit, in the municipality of Morón, which was presided over by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party.

The «machinery» of the organic process of the 22nd Congress of the CTC started in the furrows there, from the reading of the call made by Niurka Ferrer Castillo, general secretary of the trade union organization in the province, who stressed that similar productive days will continue, as part of the local political movements Embracing the countryside and Embracing the neighborhood, during the celebration of the great trade union event that began today and will last until April 2025 with the holding of its final sessions.
