According to the United Nations, 170 containers of essential products that have already arrived in Cuba, equivalent to around 6.3 million dollars, are not reaching beneficiaries due to the fuel shortage.
This was announced on Wednesday by Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Politburo and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, who also stated via social media platform X that «the US energy blockade against Cuba has a real and serious impact on the Cuban population.»
In this regard, he declared that this policy «is part of the collective punishment that the US government applies against the Cuban people.» He insisted that «it not only limits the performance of the Cuban economy. It also hinders the work of international agencies and organisations, demonstrating its extraterritorial nature,» he affirmed.
