At the Centro de Bioplantas de Ciego de Ávila, its Scientific Council is meeting to analyse the results of its work so far in 2024.
The researchers and scientists report on the development of their work in the five territorial projects and one institutional project to increase food production in the territory of Avila.
In addition, in the framework of the territorial project entitled «Aquatic and marsh plants in the municipality of Ciego de Avila. Alternatives for their use and management», a master lecture was given by Professor and Doctor of Science Isidro Méndez Sánchez, from the Centre for Environmental Management Studies at the University of Camagüey.
The lecture, entitled: Botany vs. agricultural science; dependence or complementarity?
It was described as «an approach to the audience to the interesting world of botany, symptomatology and its wide use in agricultural sciences at the present time».
The Centro de Bioplantas de Ciego de Ávila has a constant scientific and research activity that contributes to achieving better agricultural production and advancing food sovereignty in the province.
