An intense day of volunteer work was carried out this Sunday by CDR members, federates and factors from zone 139, belonging to District 47, in the Roberto Rivas Fraga popular council, in the city of Ciego de Ávila.

Julio Cesar Moreno Quintero, delegate of that district, said that among the motivations of the neighbors is the fact of having become a national vanguard, a condition that also earned CDR # 3 in that area.

This distinction is supported by the comprehensive results in the functioning of the base structure, voluntary blood donations, the urban agriculture movement and integrated community work.

The volunteer work day was also dedicated to the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and to the organization’s 10th Congress, which begins tomorrow, and is part of the political movement «Beat for a January of victories» that takes place in this province.

The popular leader thanked the support of workers from the Food Company, the entity that sponsors that constituency, and the workers from Communal Services, who joined the sanitation actions.
