The members of the Panchito Gómez Toro Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) of the Guayacanes district in the municipality of Majagua recorded profits in excess of 3 million pesos at the end of their financial year.
During the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, this collective of the anapista sector composed of 46 members, including 12 women, fulfilled other productive lines such as the delivery of sugar cane to the industry, the commitments of milk and beef, as well as produced coffee and honey.
In addition, the members of this CPA founded on 30 December 1977, excelled in the cultivation of small fruits for the self-sufficiency of the centre, which allowed them to contribute with deliveries to the company’s collection, as well as to show solidarity through donations to the staff of the institutions of the health sector. The cost per weight was 72 cents.
Miguel Ángel Pérez Marrero, President of this ANAP group and his accounting team, made up of the economist Isleidy Hernández Madrigal and the accountant Eneldys Borroto Beune, stood out for the growth of the sugar cane areas, the strengthening of the livestock module, as well as the constant process aimed at productive diversification, tasks also dedicated to the XIII ANAP Congress.
