In the heat of the celebration of this January 15, Cuban Science Day, a broad representation of all sectors of society in Ciego de Ávila, among which the CTC stands out, were direct protagonists of agricultural tasks in favor of economic development in the territory.
The day of greatest impact was held at the Cooperative of Agricultural Production Revolution of Ethiopia located in the municipality of Ciro Redondo, where the participants dedicated their work to the planting of sugar cane.
Yulisber Gallardo Vallar, rector of the Máximo Gómez Báez University, described the event as necessary and useful during the 365 days of the calendar, while the same criterion was heard from a group of students of the campus, who with the impetus that characterizes them, also carry out activities for the 55th anniversary of the founding of the high educational center.
For her part, Lisandra Rodríguez Osorio, the highest representative of MINED in the municipality where the activity was held, highlighted the commitment of the educators in defense of scientific work linked to the riches provided by the land.
Liván Izquierdo Alonso, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and its First Secretary in the province, after participating in the work together with other high executives of the government and the AZCUBA Business Group, talked with workers linked to the mechanized cutting platoons, while touring areas of the Ciro Redondo plant, designed for a harvest of 106 days, an industry that after an irregular start due to several factors, today registers stability in the milling with efficiency, organization and quality indexes in the production of the sweet grain.
