The richness of diversity and the impact of climate change distinguish today the content of the Spanish Film Festival, which until the 9th invites you to enjoy a premiere filmography in Havana.
Short and feature-length films, documentaries, fiction, series, comedies, dramas, biopics, film noir and fantasy will be screened in two daily batches at the 23 and 12 and Acapulco cinemas.
The exhibition discovers Iberian cinema through films that have won awards at various international festivals, as well as offering a closer look at prominent filmmakers, actors and guest screenwriters, said the counsellor of the Spanish embassy in Cuba, María Vargas, recently.
According to the event’s programme, this Tuesday the Casa del Festival will host the presentation of the Pla Festival, by its director Joan López, and the screening of four short films.
The Pla celebrated its first edition a month ago and is dedicated to vindicate, disseminate and celebrate the cinema that dialogues with the rural environment.
On the other hand, the Fábrica de Arte Cubano will screen the films La Ruta (2022) on the 6th, and Las noches de Tefía (2023) on the 7th, with the presence of their protagonists Patrick Criado, Javier Ruesga and Jorge Perugorría, and after the screenings there will be a discussion with the public.
Among the films on offer are Matria, Saben aquel, Un amor, Mari(dos), Que nadie duerma, El fantástico caso del golem, and Iberia, naturaleza infinita, all from 2023.
