The contradictory fact that there are productive results in the fields and that the collection markets are lacking in merchandise was among the topics discussed by the delegates of the People’s Power in the municipality of Majagua in their 13th ordinary session of the current mandate.
In this respect, the need to increase controls on production and commercialisation activities was emphasised, as there is evidence that food, vegetables and grains produced in the southwest of Avila are being transferred without due authorisation to other neighbouring areas and territories.
The issue of crime and social indiscipline was also discussed, with the conviction that it is necessary to continue the actions aimed at those people who neither study nor work, as well as the attention offered to vulnerable population groups, a category that is not for life.
Other aspects discussed by the people’s representatives in Majagua at their ordinary session in May were the funding provided by the entities for the local development of the territory with more than 2 million pesos not executed, as well as the research process regarding livestock and land use.
Floridenia Rodríguez Borroto, in her capacity as president of the Popular Council of Orlando González, gave an account before the Assembly of what allowed recognition of the work carried out by the members of this demarcation and Mayuli Marrero Rodríguez, director of Labour and Social Security, and Beatriz Pérez Mariño, municipal director of Housing, were approved as the most outstanding cadres of the year 2023, while the conclusions were given by Alexis Moya Rodríguez, first secretary of the Union of Young Communists.
