However, 39 entities do not comply with the innovation law: they do not evaluate inventions and do not remunerate their authors, who are their own employees, nor do they contribute to the financial efficiency of ANIR.

More than 60 million pesos represents the contribution to the economy, mainly in the productive sector and the provision of services this year, by innovators and rationalizers in the province of Ciego de Avila.

The Territorial Division of ETECSA, Aprovechamiento Hidráulico, the construction companies El Vaquerito and Cayo Coco Tourism, the distillery Enrique Varona, the poultry company and the industrial fishing company EPIVILA stand out in the integral performance of the innovative activity, according to information from the Provincial Secretariat of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (Cuban Workers’ Union).

Notwithstanding the relevant contribution of the Aniristas from Ciego de Avila, 39 entities do not contribute to the financial efficiency of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR), since they do not evaluate the inventions nor remunerate their authors in those centers that are determinant in the process of economic recovery, belonging to the Agricultural, Forestry and Tobacco Workers, Sugar, Food and Fishing, Energy and Mines, Industries, Transportation and Ports Unions.

Such non-compliance with the law of innovations is counterproductive in the territory of Avila, which has achieved on several occasions, among other results, the National Award to the Innovator with the Greatest Economic and Social Impact, won in October of this year by Reinaldo Vega López, of the Construction Company El Vaquerito, located in the municipality of Morón.
