The distinction «May, Beating for Cuba» was awarded, on the eve of International Workers’ Day, to the Commerce, Aqueduct and Sewerage companies, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Education Directorate, all from the municipality of Venezuela, according to Yunierkis Ramírez Osorio, the highest representative of the workers’ movement in that territory.

This incentive, Ramírez Osorio explained to Radio Surco, was granted — among other requirements — for their initiatives and, fundamentally, for fulfilling their trade union commitments.

Likewise, in statements to the radio station, Gilberto Ulloa Hernández, director of the Municipal Aqueduct and Sewerage Company, reported that his collective is participating enthusiastically in the parade, following several days of beautification of the workplaces belonging to this entity.

More than five hundred representatives of non-state management forms have also been called to the proletarian celebration this Friday, 1 May, constituting an important force for the territorial economy of this southern Avilanian region.
