The Transmetro Base Business Unit, from the Avilanian municipality of Morón, was selected as the venue for the provincial act in Ciego de Ávila for Transport Worker’s Day, celebrated last June 28 throughout the country.
This distinction is endorsed by the economic and union results of this group, together with compliance in the travel schedule in the transportation of tourism workers and the recovery work of the equipment park.
This was announced by Roberto Raúl Gil Pérez, general secretary of the Union of Transport and Port Workers in this province, who added that outstanding entities will be recognized today.
In addition, nine workers with more than 20 and 25 years of uninterrupted work received the José María Pérez Capote medal, a martyr that identifies workers in this sector in the country.
The union leader also announced that special morning meetings and recognition of outstanding workers were held in all transportation entities in the Avilanian territory.
