The highest authorities of the Avileño municipality of Morón, headed by Benito Martínez Ausina, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC, in the territory, paid posthumous tribute to Yarelis Reyes Martínez, director of the Morón TV telecentre, who died last Sunday as a result of a heart attack.
She was preceded in the guard of honour by colleagues and other leaders, who expressed their feelings for such a sad loss.
At the city’s funeral home, relatives, radio and television colleagues and friends were present to bid a final farewell to the woman who, on 26 July 2006, was a member of the founding group of Morón Te Ve, where she held the positions of Deputy Director of Programming and News and General Director until her death.
Also present were members of the board of directors and workers of the provincial telecentre, as well as Osvaldo Sánchez Naranjo, president of the Union of Cuban Journalists, Upec, in Ciego de Ávila.
