New prosecutors in Ciego de Ávila took possession of their posts, committed to the strict compliance with the Constitution, the laws and other legal provisions by the organs of the State.

The new professionals were invested with the robe that symbolises loyalty to the revolutionary ideals and signed the code of ethics that will henceforth guide the administration of justice, with adherence to the law and under the principles of justice and humanism.

Those present recalled the self-defence plea of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, recorded as «History Will Absolve Me» 72 years ago, where he turned from accused to accuser, in a masterful exercise that ennobles the law in its most just dimension.

Together with relatives and workers, the novice members of the organ gave way to the planting of the tree that will grow just like the new jurists.

Being a prosecutor is not only a legal function, it is a vocation of service, an active defence of legality and an ethical responsibility before our people and socialist state system.
