National Baseball Commission to tour the country

The National Baseball Commission is preparing today to begin, starting next Monday, February 19, its traditional tour of the provinces prior to the start of the 63rd National Series, which will begin on March 9.

During the tour, which will last until March 3, the structure, calendar, regulations and other aspects related to the greatest sporting spectacle in the country will be discussed.

In addition, the rosters of the 16 participating teams will be made official and the stadiums that will host the matches will be approved.

During the visit of the directors, legal issues related to the statutes of the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation will be discussed, as well as the contracts, the disciplinary regime of the competition and the control of the development strategy during 2024.

This tour is planned to be carried out in two parts. The first one in the western provinces and from February 27 in the rest of the territories.

The directors will work on February 19 in Matanzas and Mayabeque, on February 20 in Pinar del Río and Artemisa and one day later in the capital.

On the 27th they will move to Sancti Spiritus and Ciego de Avila, on the 28th to Camagüey and Las Tunas, and on the 29th to Holguín.

On March 1st they will be in Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Granma, the following day in Villa Clara and will conclude on March 3rd in Cienfuegos.

It was also reported that in Havana, where the technical congress will be held, there will be training courses for scorers and coders (February 28 and 29), referees (March 3 to 8) and team directors and provincial commissioners (March 6 and 7).
