With the commitment of more than 2,800 hectares among vegetables, fruit trees, viands and grains, the municipality of Ciego de Ávila officially started this Friday the 2022-2023 cold planting, which exceeds the previous campaign by seven percent.

This was informed by Rolando Reyes Salazar, municipal delegate of Agriculture, who also referred to the commitment of the farmers to solve with creativity the limitations with the inputs and the fuel deficit.

Agroindustrial Ceballos,the Integral Company Ciego de Ávila and the agricultural company Ruta Invasora, are the main agricultural enterprises of the municipality of Ciego de Ávila to guarantee the food, grains, fruits and vegetables of its population, including its state commission.

For the pineapple development program, the South Fruit Tree Base Business Unit was the productive base chosen for the act of beginning of the current cold sowing contest in the head municipality of Ciego de Ávila.
