The XXIII Provincial Psychiatry Conference and the III Depression Symposium will take place on the next 10th September at the Roberto Rodríguez General Teaching Hospital in Morón.

Under the precept of «Community; mental health for all», the aforementioned scientific events will be held in person, directed by Doctor Madeline Espinosa Morales, professor of the subject.

A pre-conference course will deal with the update and impact of synthetic drugs. Chemical and fentanyl and its comprehensive management.

This topic is important in a country like Cuba which maintains zero tolerance towards drugs.

The topics that will be addressed at the Conference and the Symposium are aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, psychometricians, psychopedagogists, general practitioners, nursing staff and related professionals.

The Provincial Council of Scientific Societies and the Psychiatry Chapter sponsor the referred activity, which aims to raise the professional level of Avilanian specialists.
