Deep debates about the functioning of the organization in its base structures, issues about its internal life and the role of young people in the current national scenario, were addressed by the delegates to the Balance Assembly of the Union of Young Communists in Morón, prior to the XII Congress of that organization.
Present at the important youth event were Alexey Ojeda, Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Ciego de Ávila; Benito Martínez Ausina, First Secretary in Morón; Enny Pérez, official of the National Committee of the UJC and Nailín Machado, First Secretary of the youth political organization in the avilanian province.
The central report read by Yan Figueras, the municipality’s top youth leader, included achievements and deficiencies in the work and agreements were projected aimed at placing the youth vanguard at the center of current demands.
In the assembly, the young people ratified their commitment to continue the Revolution, and clarified their position in the face of media campaigns through social networks, without departing from their own reality.
When summarizing the Assembly, Nailín Machado referred to the important challenges that this organization faces and called for us to achieve each goal we undertake. (Leonel Iparraguirre González)
