Morón hospital achieves good results in the Maternal and Child Program

The Roberto Rodríguez Fernández General Teaching Hospital in the city of Morón closed the year 2022 with zero maternal deaths.

In addition, in the Maternal and Infant Program, PAMI, the mortality rate of children under one year of age was 3.8 deaths per thousand live births.

The information was reported by Dr. Yoenkis Tapia Valido, director of the hospital, which mainly serves the population of the northern part of the province of Ciego de Ávila.

Specialties such as Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neonatology, Children’s Intensive Care and Family Medicine, among others, worked in a chained and efficient way to achieve these results.
