As a continuation of the investigative process regarding the armed aggression against a surface unit of the Border Guard Troops of the Ministry of the Interior, in the northeast area of the El Pino channel, at Falcones key, municipality of Corralillo, Villa Clara province, further details are provided:

• It has been established that the neutralised speedboat, with Florida registration FL7726SH, was transporting 10 armed individuals who, according to preliminary statements from the detainees, had intentions of carrying out an infiltration with terrorist aims.

Assault rifles, short weapons, improvised explosive devices (Molotov cocktails), bulletproof vests, telescopic sights and camouflage uniforms were seized.

• Among the detained participants, according to preliminary interrogations, the following have been identified:

1- Amijail Sánchez González.
2- Leordan Enrique Cruz Gómez.
3- Conrado Galindo Sariol.
4- José Manuel Rodríguez Castelló.
5- Cristian Ernesto Acosta Guevara.
6- Roberto Azcorra Consuegra.

Among the deceased, Michel Ortega Casanova has been identified. Work is ongoing to identify the other 3.

All participants are Cuban residents in the United States. The majority have a known history of criminal and violent activity, including Amijail Sánchez González and Leordan Enrique Cruz Gómez, who appear on the National List of individuals and entities that, by virtue of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373, international law and the Cuban legal system, have been subjected to criminal investigations and are sought by Cuban authorities, based on their involvement in the promotion, planning, organisation, financing, support or commission of actions materialised in the national territory or in other countries, in the service of acts of terrorism.

Furthermore, the citizen Duniel Hernández Santos was detained in the national territory, having been sent from the United States to guarantee the reception of the armed infiltration; he is currently confessing to his actions.

The investigation process continues until the complete clarification of the events.
