The members of the Federation of Cuban Women in the municipality of Majagua held a training meeting aimed at deepening the measures that will gradually be put into practice during the current year.
As part of the improvement actions taught by Professor Sinecio Martín Pérez, from the Municipal School of the Communist Party of Cuba, important tasks were discussed, such as the investigations that are carried out at the request of communities to know the cases that, due to the increase in the price of basic products, require subsidies.
Likewise, an explanation was made regarding how much it costs the country to acquire products such as gasoline abroad, which is why it was determined that, in order to boost the economy in 2024, a part of its commercialization will be carried out in freely convertible currency.
Other issues discussed by the federates of the southwest of the province were the need to increase the number of people integrated into the labor force, to detect citizens who are self-employed and evade their contributions to the State budget, and the proper use of the lands granted in usufruct.
The occasion was also the occasion for the presentation of Marjoiris Valdés Domínguez, as the representative of the women of southwest Avila in the XI Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women to be held in the capital of the country next March.
