The Israeli army today killed seven Palestinians in the West Bank amid a wide-ranging military offensive against the occupied territory, including a siege of several towns.
The Red Crescent Society reported that six young men were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in in the town of Tubas was hit by a drone.
Five were initially reported dead, but one of the two injured in the Israeli attack later died.
At the same time, a 16-year-old boy was shot dead by the military during an assault on the neighbouring al-Far’a refugee camp, medical sources said.
Since the beginning of the military operation in the West Bank last week to combat militias, 41 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers have been killed in the region, one of them a soldier and the other three policemen.
According to official figures, more than 10,400 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank since the beginning of the new cycle of violence in the region on 7 October 2023.
Since that date, 692 citizens have been killed and several thousand injured by Israeli troops and settlers.
