International Heritage Postgraduate Course in Ciego de Ávila

«Cultural heritage in turbulent times. 50 years of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage» is the title of the international postgraduate course that will be held from November 21 to 25 at the Máximo Gómez Báez University in Ciego de Ávila.

The on-site course includes lectures, workshops, debates and exchange of experiences on management protocols for the conservation of world heritage cities, current legislation and requirements for their safeguarding.

Lucía Quintana Moreno, a specialist from the Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences of the Avilanian University, will present the cultural product El Trochado as a result of the research and conservation management promoted by the university in terms of socioeconomic development.

Prominent Spanish professors, experts in agricultural, historical and world heritage from UNESCO, are participating in the International Heritage Postgraduate Course at the Máximo Gómez Báez University in Ciego de Ávila.
