The presentation of the book Medio milenio por Morón by the author Larry Morales, closed the doors of the International Colloquium History, culture and traditions El Águila de la Trocha, which was held at the Caonabo Museum in the municipality of Morón.
At the meeting, the writer from the City of the Rooster addressed some of the aspects that he explored in depth in his book, above all those referring to the struggles and resistance of the inhabitants of this region in the different historical stages.
During the activity, Larry Morales also spoke about the foundational genesis of the town, the main traditions and legends, as well as the figures of the independence struggles.
Jesús Ignacio Suárez, a professor from the University of Havana, who was invited to the meeting, highlighted the quality of the event since its inauguration and thanked the authorities, organisers and the people of Morón for the results despite the tense economic situation the country is going through.
