Naylin Machado Avila, First Secretary of the UJC in Ciego de Avila, presented to Major General Ramón Pardo Guerra and the Minister of Agriculture, Ydael Pérez Brito, one of the fundamental objectives of contributing to the feeding of the people through the strength of the young generation and thus promoting the values of caring for and cultivating the land.

The occasion was a visit to the «63rd Anniversary» organoponico, a shock work of the UJC in the province, which will be inaugurated on April 2nd in honour of the 63rd anniversary of the organisation and the 64th anniversary of the OPJM.

Pardo Guerra’s message, through his anecdotes, about the constant work linked to the furrow in the production of food for the people, was not lacking in the meeting.

The celebrations in the centre of the island have been marked since the 30th of March by productive work, meetings of generations, tribute galas and pioneer encampments.

On the 2nd of April in the UEB «Frutales» in «La Cuba», the place chosen for the national celebration ceremony will be the right place for the accreditation of young youth activists and the awarding of the condition «Siempre Joven» (Always Young) to outstanding centres and young people with outstanding results.

The meeting was also attended by Julio Gómez Casanova, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Alfre Menéndez Pérez, governor (Author Alfredo Fernández Arcia).
