If man serves, the earth serves

With full knowledge of the facts, an Avileño has declared that «If man is useful, the land is useful. You just have to fall in love with what you do».

This person, Romelio Rodríguez Sánchez, is an agronomist engineer and Doctor in Agricultural Sciences; he is not a man of rural origin, as he was born and has lived all his life in the city of Ciego de Ávila, but his life has become a priesthood of the land and its crops.

His perseverance and wisdom have allowed him to enjoy on many occasions appreciating the harvests of plants with which he has experimented for their genetic improvement, especially pineapples.
She currently works in the Ceballos Agroindustrial Company.

He is currently working at Empresa Agroindustrial Ceballos.

Romelio has also ventured into the cultivation of ornamental plants, flowers, timber trees such as mahogany, cedar, eucalyptus and others unknown in Cuba such as Pithaya and Sacha Inchi.

He has the merit of having increased the university-field-production link during a period in which he directed the agrobiology laboratory of the Bioplant Centre in Ciego de Avila for five years.

He currently works at Empresa Agroindustrial Ceballos, where he applies scientific innovations to make crops of higher quality and productivity.

With men like Romelio, the land will always be able to produce its best products and achieve the food sovereignty that the country needs so much.
