With the aim of characterizing the consumption of media and technologies, as well as updating the results of previous researches, specialists from the Social Research Center (CIS) will start this June 6 a study on this topic in the adult and child population of Ciego de Avila.
This was announced by Juan Carlos García Igarza, coordinator of the field network at the Social Research Consultancy in this province, who added that once the training of the surveyors is completed, the observation and data collection work will begin.
The research, which has been carried out in other provinces of the country since June 3, includes students of primary, junior high school, pre-university and polytechnic levels of the selected centers, while adults will be surveyed at their homes.
He also pointed out the importance of the study, since the media, especially the audiovisual and technological media, have a significant influence on the behavior and habits of adolescents, while highlighting the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on their cultural consumption.
