A fruitful day of exchanges, analysis and proposals was held by the highest political and government leadership of Ciego de Ávila, with workers from the Turiguanó Genetic Livestock Company, north of the Ciego de Ávila municipality, as part of the visit to the entity and the council popular of the territory.

Headed by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC, the delegation evaluated the main objectives and the 14 plans drawn up and aimed at livestock recovery, care for men and their families, as well as about community improvement in a comprehensive way.

The tour included a visit to dairy farms, areas for planting protein plants for livestock feeding, as well as those dedicated to self-consumption and constant exchange with the workers and managers of the livestock company.

The occasion was also propitious for the inauguration of the El Ganadero store equipped with various hygiene and cleaning items, agricultural inputs, spare parts and other supplies for the community.

In the conclusions of the visit, which included the interest of the First Secretary of the Party in the Casita Infantil, dissimilar topics were presented regarding the recovery of the Santa Gertrudis breed, the increase in meat and milk production and the search for agile mechanisms, and precise measures aimed at combating the theft and illegal slaughter of livestock.
