Providing strategies to stabilize food production in Ciego de Ávila was the objective of the visit of Felix Duarte Ortega, head of the Agro-food Department of the Party’s Central Committee, and the Minister of Agriculture, Idael Pérez Brito.
During the tour of the productive poles, Duarte Ortega ratified the need to plan all the tasks, bearing in mind the contingencies the country is going through.
During the visit to producers in the area of Venezuela and La Cuba, they heard about the bureaucratic procedures with the delivery of credit by the bank for the land work, and the acquisition of idle land, which sometimes becomes cumbersome from the same delegation.
According to the head of the agro-food department, it is still necessary to intensify the delivery of idle lands to the entities that at the moment have incomplete applications.
Pérez Brito explained that the sector in the province must continue to develop the Food Sovereignty Plan, bearing in mind that this law aims to speed up these processes.
