The peasant sector is driving food production in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, despite the deficit of essential inputs, and on their shoulders falls a good part of the implementation of the programme for food sovereignty and nutritional education.

Although the expected results have not yet been achieved, little by little the territory intends to move forward, a reality that is evidenced by the increase in some productions and the attendance of several producers at the Agri-Food Fair.

According to managers of the cooperative movement, despite the difficulties, the peasants work tirelessly to extract from the land all the food possible, aware of the importance of their work to guarantee the people’s food supply.

They are making a supreme effort with the purpose of guaranteeing short-cycle products in the shortest possible time to solve the deficit and contribute to the reduction of high prices.
