A varied programme of activities is being developed in the rural settlements of Ciego de Avila, with the aim of extending recreational options during the summer months for children and young people living in these places.

Street plans, baseball, volleyball and football games, among others, comprise the bulk of the project aimed at promoting healthy recreation for the new generation of Avila’s rural population at this time of year.

Among the initiatives deployed for this purpose are also excursions to historical sites, refreshing swims in rivers and beaches, as well as the traditional dominoes, checkers and chess competitions.

The summer activities in the rural areas of Ciego de Avila contribute to the healthy recreation of the population and the social development of each settlement.
