So far this year, new patients have joined consultations at the Assisted Reproduction Center of Ciego de Avila, whose professionals achieved several twin pregnancies and one triplet pregnancy in 2023.

To date, 50 couples who wished to become parents and for various reasons had not been able to become parents were attended at the municipal consultations of this service, of which 32 were able to procreate.

Marvelis Issac, coordinator of the Assisted Reproduction Program in the territory of Avila, says that the evaluations continue at the Provincial Notary Department to subscribe to the Notarial Deed that gives access to human reproduction techniques.

She also informed that the surgeries were resumed for patients who were waiting and the referral of couples to the High Technology Center of Cienfuegos for their follow-up is being maintained.

Meanwhile, in the provincial clinic, 13 pregnancies have been obtained out of 15 couples who have attended the different treatments (Mariesly Wong Morales).
