The enrolment process at the Doctor José Assef Yara University of Medical Sciences in Ciego de Ávila will commence this August for students beginning the new academic term in September.

From 18 to 23 August, registration will be open for those pursuing Technical and Vocational Education, while students admitted to Higher Education will enrol starting 25 August.

All students attending registration must present:

• A valid, well-preserved identity card

• A photocopy of both sides of said ID

• Original academic transcripts from pre-university studies

• Photocopy and original twelfth-grade diploma

• Six identical 1×1 ID-sized photographs

Additionally required is an up-to-date health card including HIV and serology tests, stamped by their local polyclinic.

Male students who completed Active Military Service must present their demobilisation form or Annex 1, while those deemed unfit for military service must submit Annex 1 along with the Military Committee’s resolution (verified against original documents) and their Socially Useful Task evaluation.

The Doctor José Assef Yara University of Medical Sciences in Ciego de Ávila offers degree programmes in Medicine and various medical technologies, training the professionals who safeguard the population’s health.
