Specialists of the Young Computer and Electronics Clubs in Ciego de Ávila are celebrating the twelfth anniversary of the Cuban Collaborative Encyclopedia on the Internet (Ecured), with the commitment to strengthen the quantity and quality of its articles.

Darisleixys Garachana Rodríguez, deputy director of these facilities in the province, reported that they are strengthening ties with the Association of Historians in the municipalities of Chambas, Bolivia, Morón and Venezuela for the preparation of documents for this platform.

In this sense, the leader added that they are working on the resumes of the jewels of avilanian pedagogy in order to include them in this tool.

Viviano Moyano Trujillo, director of the Territorial Control Office of the Ministry of Communications in the capital city, insisted that it is a privilege to have a reliable and constructive source of consultation available to teachers, students and anyone who needs to find a reference about Cuba or the world.

During the celebration, the portable Ecured for cell phones and PCs will continue to be promoted in schools and workplaces, as well as talks related to its importance.

The encyclopedia has more than 200,000 articles related to culture, sports, science, history and other subjects of Cuba and the world, and has collaborators in several countries, including Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Mexico.

Emancipator of culture and the defense of our identity and sovereignty, the Cuban Collaborative Encyclopedia reaches its 12th anniversary this December 14, with more than 600 thousand daily visits on a stable basis, which positions it as the most visited Cuban site in the cu domain.
